Rare are proud to present a glimpse of our first event in Frankfurt: Alexandra’s 50s style big birthday celebration.
Over the last few years we have started to become well-known and respected for our international corporate events, destination weddings and celebrations. Our well-travelled team members are fluent in many European languages and pre-production was done mainly from the UK. We flew team and suppliers out for the build and our amazing bi-lingual event manager Svenja smashed it on the night.
The party, which took place in a beautiful German venue, Druckwasserwerk, saw guests arrive in stunning vintage frocks, sharp suits and some more emphatically comic outfits to be greeted with a retro cocktail. Guests place names were disguised as vinyl records and table names displayed in beautiful 1950s artwork representing cities where the hostess had spent time. After dinner, two of our favourite dancers who were flown in from London performed a high-octane jive, swing & lindy hop routine much to the surprise of the party guests, with whom they had been mingling all night. The dancers stayed on the floor and got guests up and busting out their finest 50s moves. Fresh off the boat from the Ibiza closing parties, DJ legend Rubber Ron manned the decks. Ron dropped a mash-up of 50s classics and modern bangers. He incorporated hits that are favourites of the hostess & guests and created a truly international set to please the diverse nationalities of Alexandra’s crew. The party goers in all their finest 50s garb danced into the wee small hours.
Alexandra was delighted with her special evening. Details & little touches brought everything together, from the Alexandra face masks given to each guest to wear, to the 50s styled printed menus, fun 50s elements in the décor, to the ‘Alexandra’s 50s Playlist’ CD handed out as a party favour to every parting guest.
We thoroughly enjoyed working in Frankfurt, as we do all our international destinations, but most importantly we love to see a client happy.
Alexandra we don’t like to mention a ladies age but you rocked and rolled it and we wish you the most amazing “50s”!
